Uniform/Dress Code

                                         DRESS STANDARDS

Students must adhere to the following dress standards:
  • Clothing must be the proper size and fit. Oversized pants and jackets are not permitted. Pants must not touch the floor, cannot impede walking, cannot be tucked into any shoes, and must stay on without belt assistance (no “sagging”).
  • Clothing, jewelry, and personal items (backpacks, fanny packs, gym bags, water bottles, hats) must be free of writing, pictures, or any other insignia which are vulgar, profane, or sexually suggestive, which bear drug, alcohol, or tobacco company advertising, promotions and likenesses, or which advocate racial, ethnic, or religious prejudice.
  • Clothing must be sufficient to conceal undergarments at all times.
  • Fish-net fabrics, halter tops, low necklines, sheer garments, off-the-shoulder or low cut tops, and bare mid-drifts are considered inappropriate.
  • Gloves may not be worn on campus.
  • Hats with visors may be worn for sun protection while outdoors only. Hoods, beanies, etc. must be removed at the start of the school day. Hats must be stored inside backpacks when not being worn. Nothing can be hanging from or underneath the hat. Hats must be worn with visors facing forward and should be removed when indoors.
  • Clothing with inappropriate insignia or gang-related symbols will not be permitted. (Belt buckles, rings, spike collars, thick necklaces, high socks under long shorts.)
  • Jewelry, including long dangling earrings that is deemed unsafe, may not be worn.
  • Wallet chains are not permitted.
  • Students are not to write or draw on any part of their bodies.
  • Students must wear closed toe shoes. Flip-flops and slippers are not allowed for safety reasons.
  • If students arrive at school dressed improperly, parents/guardians will be contacted and asked to bring an appropriate change of clothing.
